Ceann Creige Hurling and Camogie Club is a newly-formed underage and senior hurling and camogie club based in the East End of Glasgow offering the opportunity for children aged 4 upwards and adults to actively get involved in hurling and be a part of a friendly club.

The organisation’s purpose is the provision of community participation in healthy recreational activities for the benefit of the inhabitants of Glasgow and surrounding areas by the provision of facilities for the playing of Gaelic games.

A grant of £1,000 has been awarded for the Combining Irish sport & culture project: towards the club’s facility and equipment costs and further development of a sports programme for children all over Glasgow promoting hurling and Irish culture. The club is committed to ensuring no one is prevented from participating in sports due to financial disadvantage, particularly in a deprived area and where physical activity and friendship is a lifeline for many young people.
