Supporting the Irish community
The Irish Youth Foundation (UK) was established in 1989 and is the only national charity in Britain specifically aimed at helping disadvantaged young Irish people and their families.
Every year we award grants to projects that help improve the lives and opportunities of young Irish people in the UK. A wide range of welfare organisations benefit, from community groups working with disadvantaged young Irish people and their families in Britain and Northern Ireland, to Irish students at colleges and universities in the UK.
As the foundation is almost entirely voluntary, the funds raised go directly to where they are most needed.
Our focus is on raising the funds to support these grants and this includes hosting our own events such as the Spring and Autumn socials and the Summer BBQ as well as high profile events like the biennial Rock ‘n’ Rugby. We couldn’t do this without the valuable support of our sponsors and friends who attend.
Every donation, ticket purchased or sponsorship given makes a young Irish person’s life a little better.
